Vasoline Tabs

(ver. 1)
Stone Temple Pilots

Okay, I've gotten enough "nice" requests for the solo to this song ever
since I posted the tab a couple of weeks ago. Honestly though, I think
that anyone with a little lead knowledge could come up with a better solo.
In my opinion, this is not the best lead work I've ever seen (like much of
DeLeo's lead stuff). DeLeo is a good riffster but not much of a solo-er.
But here it is, as best as I could make it out (it's basically in G):

||-8p7-----8p7-----8p7---|---8p7-----8p7-----8p7-|-----8p7-----8p7-----|
||-----6-6-----6-6-----6-|-6-----6-6-----6-6-----|-6-6-----6-6-----6-6-|
||-----------------------|-----------------------|---------------------|
||-----------------------|-----------------------|---------------------|
||-----------------------|-----------------------|---------------------|
||-----------------------|-----------------------|---------------------|

 bf             b                              b  b          b&harm
------------------|-------------------------|---------------------|
-6---(6)~~~~~~----|-------------------------|---------------------|
----------------4-|-4p0-4p0-4p0-------------|--4--4-4p0---0--5~~~-|
------------------|-------------0-5p0-0-----|-----------0---------|
------------------|---------------------2-2-|---------------------|
------------------|-------------------------|---------------------|

------------------------|---------------------||     p= pull-off
------------------------|---------------------||     b= bend
4p0-4p0-4p0-------------|-4p0-4p0-4p0---------||     bf= bend full
------------0-5p0-0-----|-------------0-5/9\5-||     b&harm= create an
--------------------2-2-|---------------------||       artificial harmonic
------------------------|---------------------||       and bend it full
                                                     ~~~= vibrato
Oh yeah, and someone sent me a suggestion that makes quite a bit of sense.
Instead of playing that ***ed up chord that I had in my original tab
(during the intro and bridge) try this:
E---0---
B---3---
G---3---
D---3---
A---0---
E-------
Whoever it was said it sounds pretty much the same.  (Thanks to whoever you
are.)  At any rate, it's MUCH easier to play.
