Hangnail Bass

(ver. 1)
Nickelback
(4String)
Hangnail by Nickelback
Bassist Mike Kroeger
This song is tuned from lowest to highest : (B, Gb, B, E)
This song goes pretty fast, especially in the verses. I am 100% sure, no doubt
about it that this tab is correct. It’s kind of hard, but there isn’t much to it.

Intro
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-/12--0--9--10--9--10--9--10--9--10/15--12\0--9--10--9--10--9--10--9--10/17--12\0-

----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
-9--10--9--10--9--10--9--10/12\0--5--3/10--9--10----------------
In the beginning, you help the electric finish it’s intro with the 5 3/10 9 10. On
the last part of the song, at (2:56) you play the regular into 2 times and the play
5 3/10 9 10 two extra times and end on 12 12.

Verse

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pre-chorus
------------------------------
------------------------------
------------------------------
---0--0--0--0--5--5--5--5--3--
You can tell when you start playing… it’s when all of the other instruments except
the one guitar start

Chorus Part 1
-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------
--5--5-------------------------------------------
----------3--3--3--3----5--5--5--5---5--5--5--5--
Every time you change frets, you leave a noticeable space between notes. Also, when
you get to playing the chorus 4 times, there are still the same amount of notes, but it
gets rhythmically different. It’s very easy to figure out though if you listen to the song.

Chorus Part 2
-------------------------
-------------------------
-------------------------
--10-----10--10--9--8----

Bridge
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
-----------------------------3---
-12^----15----0---3---0------5---
The second time the electric plays this, you help him finish it with the 0 3 0 etc.
You bend up to Gb.
