--VERSE—

D
To this day when I hear that song
I see you standin there all night long
Bm
Discount shades, store bought tan
G
Flip flops and cut-off jeans

D
Somewhere between that setting sun
Im on fire and born to run
Bm
You looked at me and I was done
G
And were, were just getting started

D
I was singin to you, you were singin to me
I was so alive, never been more free
G
Fired up my daddys lighter and we sang
Bm Asus2
Ooohh

D
Stayed there til they forced us out
And took the long way to your house
G
I can still hear the sound of you
Bm Asus2
sayin dont go

--CHORUS--

D
When I think about you,
A
I think about 17
Bm
I think about my old jeep
G
I think about the stars in the sky

D
Funny how a melody
A
sounds like a memory
Bm G Em
Like the soundtrack to a July Saturday night

Asus2 (let guitar ring dead) Play Riff starting without D chord
                    Springsteen

--VERSE--

I bumped into you by happenstance
You probably wouldnt even know who I am
But if I whispered your name
I bet thered still be a spark

Back when I was gasoline
And this old tattoo had brand new ink
And we didnt care what your mom would think
About your name on my arm

Baby is it spring or is it summer
The guitar sound or the beat of that drummer
You hear sometimes late at night
On your radio

Even though youre a million miles away
When you hear Born in the USA
You relive those glory days
So long ago

--CHORUS—

D
When I think about you,
A
I think about 17
Bm
I think about my old jeep
G
I think about the stars in the sky

D
Funny how a melody
A
sounds like a memory
Bm G Em
Like the soundtrack to a July Saturday night

Asus2 (let guitar ring dead) Play Riff starting without D chord
                    Springsteen

--VERSE--

(same progression as verses D-D-G-Bm-Asus2)
Woah-oh-oh-oh

--LAST REFRAIN--

D
Funny how a melody
A
sounds like a memory
Bm G Em
Like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night

Asus2 (let guitar ring dead) Play Riff starting without D chord
                Springsteen

(D-D-G-Bm-Asus2)

Woah-oh-oh-oh

--NOTES—

I alternated playing the verse with two refrains of
the progression D-D-Bm-G followed by two refrains of
the progression D-D-G-Bm-Asus2. I know that either
progression can be played the entire time, but that
is a nice way to mix it up a little.
