Reasons Tabs

(ver. 1)
Weakerthans
the weakerthans - the reasons

go buy a capo!

this is another tricky 2 guitar based one where stephen(the lead guitarist) uses a capo
the 5th fret while john(the singer and rythem guitarist) uses no capo. (if you wear
you can hear john in the left hear and stephen on the right) but if you dont have 2
around (or 4 arms) then its gonna be hard to play the whole thing. of course it will
sound better with a full band but you can sorta mix and match the guitar parts to your
or find someone to play with.

the intro is played by stephen so use a capo on the 5th fret:

relative to capo:
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----0-----0-----0---0-0------4p2p0-----0-----0-----0---0-0--4-2p0--|
D|---0-----0-----0---2-----4---0--------0-----0-----0---2-------------|
A|-2-----4----------------------------2-----4-------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|

relative to open strings(still play with a capo on 5)
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----5-----5-----5---5-5------9p7p5-----5-----5-----5---5-5--9-7p5--|
D|---5-----5-----5---7-----9---5--------5-----5-----5---7-------------|
A|-7-----9----------------------------7-----9-------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|

verse 1 "how i dont know how to sing..."
john is playing pretty simple powerchords with strait downstrokes,
no palm muting:
   G5 D5 C5
E|---|---|---|
B|---|---|---|
G|---|-7-|-5-|
D|-5-|-7-|-5-|
A|-5-|-5-|-3-|
E|-3-|---|---|

while stephen plays powerchords with palm-muting and un-palm-muting and the lead
still basically G5 D5 C5.
**im not tabbing the time or rythems so when a chord is tabbed its not played just once**
these are not tabbed relative to the capo, but everthing is played abouve the 5th fret
so just treat a '5' as an open string.
E|--------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------7----------------------12-10---------|
G|----12-------7----------------------------12-9----|
D|-12-12-----7-7------10-9-8-5-10----------------12-|
