 CHORDS:
Please note that a dropped D tuning on both E strings is used. Also, there is a use of a capo on the 4th fret. A capo is not essential, and the song can still be played no matter where you use it. For players wanting to play "Lift" with un-capoed strings, simply subtract 4 from each of the fret numbers below.
As for the Amaj7 add flat12 chord, that's just getting technical. It is a pretty weird chord, but it sounds cool nonetheless. I've shortened it to A* just to make it easier to read.

      B Amaj7 add flat12 A13 G#m7 E
                (A*)

D |---4----------4--------------4------4-----4---|
B |---4----------4--------------5------4-----5---|
G |---4----------6--------------4------4-----4---|
D |---9----------7--------------7------6-----6---|
A |---9----------7--------------7------6-----7---|
D |---9----------7--------------7------6-----X---|

This is the fingering I use for the chords. Feel free to use an alternate fingering if it's easier. The fingers are numbered respectively 1-4, index to pinky.

B A* A13 G#m7 E

D A D G B D D A D G B D D A D G B D D A D G B E D A D G B D
----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- -----------
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1 | | | | | | | | | | | 1 |
| | | | | | | | | 1 | | | | | | | | 2 3 4 | | | X | 2 | | |
| | | | | | 2 3 4 | | | 2 3 4 | | | | | | | | | | 3 | | | |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
2 3 4 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

Pretty easy fingering, so there should be no problems there. I believe the B is spiced up by a few random variations to the chord, which can be achieved with your 1st finger. For the E chord, it is basically a C major shape, but you'll need to mute the low D string with your thumb (indicated with the X), otherwise the chord will sound icky.

---------------------------------

This tab is a half-step lower than last tab, anyone who thinks it was right
last time should tune down half a step before their strings break......
Also I'm not 100% sure about the A+5 bit chord, I've got a bad live copy of
lift.....

Intro: Just strum a Bb chord for 4 bars (It changes to a sus2 when Thom starts singing)

All th rest is easy, except the A+5 bit, which should roughly look like this

E---0---0---0---0---|
B---0-h-2-h-4-p-0---|
G---2---2---2---2---|
D---2---2---2---2---|
A---0---0---0---0---|
E---X---X---X---X---|

if it doesn't sound right ad-lib in this style until it does.
