  PM........................................................................

Those are the only chords you use throughout the whole song except for a few other parts
show up later
The synth line that comes after goes like this......
Repeat as much as needed, and end on 2 like so.....
e|------|------------|------------------------------------------------------|
B|------|------------|------------------------------------------------------|
G|---6--|4-6-7-6-4-6-|-4-6-7-6-4-2------------------------------------------|
D|------|------------|------------------------------------------------------|
A|------|------------|------------------------------------------------------|
E|------|------------|------------------------------------------------------|
And then you just strum the chords previously shown and let them ring. And every
you're about to play the D chord (the one rooted on the A string for those who don't know
during the first couple of verses play this...
e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--0-5-7-9-10--------------------------------------------------------------|
...and then dreamily strum the D chord. You can also do some slight variations of
that would include making the whole thing one giant slide.

So after you've gotten through the whole song, you then come to the part where he
"where are your friends tonight?" more than usual and the chord progression speeds up a little
When he finally recites that line in a deep voice, the chord progression changes for the moment to...

E|-------------------------------------------------------------------5------|
"...tonight, where are your friends tonight, where are your friends tonight."

You then basically have fun with those two chords, until the ending of the song, when
do this cool chord thing and sing "if i could be with my friends tonight."
                     End on
