Rice Birds Chords

(ver. 2)
Adam Carroll
Haven't been able to find this anywhere so I thought I would throw the chords out there.
Not going to work out the picking for ya because I cant fingerpick anyway, just noodle
it out however ya want to. Its actually C-G-F,in the video he capos first fret and
plays it open.

CAPO 1st fret

(C) (G) (C)
I was thinkin of you when the rice birds flew,
(C) (G) (C)
When the false dawn came with morning dew
(G) (C) (G) (F)
You're a thunderstorm ragin outside my garage,
                   (C) (G) (C)
You're the white shirt peekin through my camouflage.

I was thinkin of you and I wont forget,
Tail of of the turtle and bayou teche,
I cannot dance but can hang on,
to some sweet memory down in Oberlin

I was thinkin a you at the mardi gras,
Fords and Chevys like I never saw,
I wish you were there to dance with me,
And to hear that Cajun symphony.

I was thinkin a ayou aat the LA bar,
Got so drunk I couldn't drive my car,
I was dreamin about you with my 10 ounce beer,
Dreamin sweet daydreams wishin you were here.

Well I was thinkin a you with the braids in your hair,
It was down in Houston but it coulda been anywhere,
I was dreamin about you with my changin ways,
And I still think about ya in my travelin days.

Well I was thinkin a you where the sunset glows,
Down the Mississippi River where the gulf wind blows,
I was dreamin about you in the Fluer-de-lis,
I was wishin you were next to me.
