well, this is the last track on the smashing pumpkins last album,
"Machina: The Machines of God." Anyway, this is the intro...  it's pretty much played
throughout the song, and distortion is added in the middle.

Tune each string a half step down

(just like in nearly every Smashing Pumpkins song)
