ok guys I can't seem to find a good chords tab for this song, so based of ear and live
performances here's what I think. I like to play it acosutic like they do in their
performance in Denver.

Capo 3

chords are Em (022000) EmMaj7 (021000) E7 (020000) G (320003) or (355433) and B (024442)

intro in recorded version- Em EmMaj7 E7 G B (arpeggiate the chords for 2 measures) on
end of second measure strum the G and B regularly 3 times)

(arpeggiate verse if you want to it doesn't matter that much)

 Em EmMaj7 E7 G B
Give us this day our daily dose of faux affliction
            Em G B
Forgive our sins forged at the pulpit with forked-tongue-selling faux sermons
       Em EmMaj7 E7 G B
'Cause I am a new wave of gospel sharp and you'll be thy witness
    Em G B
So gentlemen if you're gonna preach. For God's sake, preach with conviction

               Em
Strike up the band! Whoa, the conductor is beckoning
EmMaj7
Come, congregation, let's sing it like you mean it.
E7
No. Don't you get it? Don't you get it?
              G B
Now don't you move.

               Em
Strike up the band! Whoa, the conductor is beckoning
EmMaj7
Come, congregation, let's sing it like you mean it.
E7
No. Don't you get it? Don't you get it?
              G B
Now don't you move.

      Em (once) Em (x3) EmMaj7
Just stay where I can see you douse the lights!
                           Em Em G B
We sure are in for a show tonight.

   Em EmMaj7 E7 G B
In this little number, we're graced by two displays of character
               Em G B
We've got: the gunslinger extraordinaire walking contradiction
    Em EmMaj7 E7
And I for one can see no blood from the hearts and the wrists you'd
G B
allegedly slit
    Em EmMaj7 G
And I for one won't stand for this. If this scene were a parish, you'd all
      B
be condemned.

               Em
Strike up the band! Whoa, the conductor is beckoning
EmMaj7
Come, congregation, let's sing it like you mean it.
E7
No. Don't you get it? Don't you get it
               G B
Now don't you move

No. Don't you get it? Don't you get it?
                G B
Now don't you, don't you move

(I'm not 100% sure on the bridge so feel free to submit a correction)

      Em
Just Stay where I can see you douse the lights.

We sure are in for a show tonight!

La da da da da da da
