Come On Up To The House Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Thrice
I don't really listen to these guys much, but I heard this cover, and really liked it,
so I thought I'd tab it out. I may have to check them out more. This has a very Brian
Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem) feel to it.

Thrice - Come On Up to the House (Tom Waits cover)
Album - Daytrotter Sessions

Key F Chords: F Dm Bb C
Capo I Chords: E C#m A B (I think this is how he plays it)
Capo V Chords: C Am F G (this is how I play it)

Verse: Capo I (Chord changes aren't exact, but the timing's easy to follow.)

E C#m A E
Well the moon is broken, and the sky is cracked.
E C#m
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
The only things you can see, is all that you lack.
E B E
You gotta' come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
All your crying, dont do no good.
E C#m E
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
Come down from the cross, we can use the wood.
E B E
Gotta' come on up to the house.
Chorus:
E
Come on up to the house.
E C#m
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
The world is not my home, I'm just passin' through.
E B E
Gotta' come on up to the house.

(The rest of the song follows the same pattern)

E C#m A E
There's no light in the tunnel, no irons in the fire.
E C#m
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
And you're singing lead soprano, in a junkman's choir.
E B E
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
Does life seem nasty, brutish, and short.
E C#m
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A B
The seas are stormy, and you can find no port.
E B E
Come on up to the house.

Chorus
E C#m A E
Well there's nothing in the world that you can do.
E C#m
Gotta' come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
And you've been whipped by the forces that are inside you.
E B E
Gotta' come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
Well you're high on top of the mountain of woe.
E C#m
Come on up to the house.
E C#m A E
And you know you should surrender, but you can't let it go.
E B E
Gotta' come on up to the house.
Chorus

Yeah (end)
