Duet Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Rachael Yamagata
Ok, so here is my first attempt at chording. It started with a version by Timberwo7ves
under this artist. I believed there were some errors in chord placement, as well as the
that was listed, I believe is better served with a C#m. As well, under "Rachel Yamagata"
there is a true tablature, that I reprinted (Thanks to Midori for the tab), but
tab had the same error, using C# instead of C#m. However, if you look at the tab below,
I did correct the "C#" to a "C#m", I didn't change the tab itself, because it was
correctly finger picking a tab that was a C#m shape. Regarding the Timberwo7ves
I then chorded out the second and third verses as well to make it complete. Hope it
The chord placements are probably the best for the picking arrangement that I heard on
recording between Rachael and Ray Lamontagne.

  A E F#m C#m
-Oh lover, hold on
        D E A E
-Till I come back again
           A E F#m C#m
-For these arms are growing tired
        D E A E
-And my tales are wearing thin

           A E F#m C#m
-If you're patient, I will surprise
          D E A E
-When you wake up, I'll have come
         A E F#m C#m
-All the anger, will settle down
              D E A E
-And we'll go do all the things we should have done

        D E
/Yes, I remember what we said
       A F#m

/I'll be here if you will only come back home

    A E F#m C#m
-Oh lover, I'm lost
             D E A E
-Because the road I've chosen beckons me away
    A E F#m C#m
-Oh lover, don't you roam
         D E A E
-Now I'm fighting words I never thought I'd say

       D E

       A F#m

D E A F#m D E
A A } x2
/Hmmmmm,    Hmmmmmmmm,    Hmmmmmmm, Hmmm    }

    A E F#m C#m
-Oh lover, I'm old
           D E A E

            A E F#m C#m
-And I will find you down the road
             D E A E
-And we'll return back home to where we're meant to be

         D E
/Cause I remember what we said
       A F#m
/As we lay down to bed
          A E A
/We'll be back soon as we make history.
