			     Lacquer Head - Primus
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tuning: EADG (standard)

   helped me):
 "Primus - Lacquer Head Lesson" (Pt.s 1, 2, and 3)

Almost every note in this song, for the intro and verse, will be a muted note.

**Tip for playing the intro/verse: The hand motion is a slap, tap, pop, tap motion where
each slap and pop is muted. You will slap with your right hand thumb on E(muted) and then
you will tap with your left hand middle finger on the 2nd fret on E(muted) and then pop with
your right hand leaving your left index or middle finger resting on the 2nd fret of the G
string and then finally tap on E(muted) again with your left middle finger. The process of
this may seem complicated but it is really quite simple once you've got it down.

**Tip for playing solo: The solo is played similarly to the verse although there are some
slight variations. The motion for this is tap twice with the thumb on E(muted) and then
with the left hand middle finger on the 2nd fret on E(muted) and then another right tap
on E(muted) then a right hand pop with the left hand index/middle fingers resting on the
2nd fret on the G string(muted) and then finally a tap with the left hand middle finger
the 2nd fret on E(muted).

**For the interlude: I tabbed out what Les plays for the interlude when he plays it live.
On the studio album he uses his whammy bar and a bunch of other funky stuff. To play what
I have tabbed out, the first note is hit with the left middle finger and let ring, and then
you take your right hand thumb and tap (in no particular note pattern) down the E string.
So the notes that I have for you to tap with your right hand are not not necessarily the
"correct" notes for you to play; just play whatever you want.
