Death On The Stairs Tabs

(ver. 3)
Libertines
its my first time submitting a tab so the lay out is probably really awkward, dont blame me!
it isnt perfect down to the last detail so play around with the rhythm and timing
but thats all the fun with punk, you dont want it perfect. let that be a message to Bloc Party!
and dont try too hard, punk is casual guitar playing, do what you want! fiddle around
change it to suit you!

tuning: EADGBe
key: b= bend up one semitone/fret
     h= hammer on
     ~=hold note

intro
guitar 1
         Bbmaj Cmaj
¦-1-3-1----1----3----1--------1---13----1----|
¦-3-5-3----3----5----3--------3--3-5----3----|
¦-3-5-3----3----5----3--------3-3--5----3----| this is from the start until
¦-3-5-3----3----5----3--------33---5----3----| guitar 2 has played riff 1
¦-1-3-1--1-1----3----1--------1----3----1----| 7 times.

guitar 2

¦--------------4--3-3---|
¦----------3-5---b5b5-3-| riff 1 x7

¦-----------------------------------------|
¦--------------4--3-3----3~~~~~~~3--------|
¦----------3-5---b5b5-3-b5~~~~~~~5--------| the 7th time you play riff 1 change
¦-----------------------------------------| the end like this.
¦-----------------------------------------|
¦-----------------------------------------|

now the lyrics kick in. i think guitar 1 just repeats the chords above, and i cant
out what guitar2 does but it returns back to riff 1 after about four to eight bars. its all
Bb major so you can have a go yourself.

when carl sings "oh baby please kill me..."
both guitars play the same riff but at different pitches.

guitar1
¦------------- -------------------|
¦------------- -------------------|
¦------------- repeat a few times then... -------------------|
¦-0h1h3-3-1-0- -33333-1-0 riff 2-|
¦------------- -------------------|
¦------------- -------------------|

guitar2
¦------------ -------------------|
¦-3h4h6-6-4-3 -66666-4-3---------|
¦------------ -------------------|
¦------------ repeat a few times then... ---------- riff 2-|
¦------------ -------------------|
¦------------ -------------------|

when he sings "oh baby please kill me..." for the second time, play the same riff but
and more frequent.
then they play around with the notes from riff 1, until eventually riff 1 is played
guitar 1 just plays around with Bbmaj chord in the background.

solo
both guitars play the same.

¦-1----------------------------------18-18-18-18-17-17-17-17-15-15-15-15-|
¦-3----3--3--3-----------------------------------------------------------|
¦-3---b5-b5-b5-3---------------------------------------------------------|
¦-3--------------------------15-16-17------------------------------------|
¦-1-----------------15-16-17---------------------------------------------|
¦------------------------------------------------------------------------|

¦---------------------------------------------------|
¦18-18-18-18-16-16-16-16-15-15-15-15--15--15--15----|
¦------------------------------------b17-b17-b17-15-|
¦---------------------------------------------------|
¦---------------------------------------------------|
¦---------------------------------------------------|

for the outro play around with riff1 but in the higher pitch where the starting point is
string fret 15. at the very end bring the pitch back down to the 3rd fret. have fun!
COME BACK PETE!
