Big old mammas their bags dragging the (A) ground

Fat, wide tails would (G) slap me in the (D) eye
Maybe a heavy hoof  on a sore bare (A) toe
Squirt (D) the cat (G) in the face, on the (D) sly
Humming and (A) singing as we (D) go

Pour that milk (G) in the old  De- (D)Laval
Crank it into a rich, rich (A) cream
Seven (D) days to (G) fill a five gallon (D) can-now
It all seems (A) like a (D) dream

Take the can to (G) town on Saturday (D) night
 Old man Roemers Creamery gave  us our (A) pay
A (D) dime for popcorn and a (G) show at the (D) site
Twenty cents for a  gallon of  (A) gas for the old Model (D) A

Those were the (G) days during WW (D) Two
I was only about (A) ten
Every (D) family had war (G) support to (D) do
We all worked (A) together back (D) then
