Thick As A Brick Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Jethro Tull
Thick As A Brick
By Ian Anderson

Thick As A Brick is Ian Anderson's opus spanning two sides of vinyl.
I'm going to present the 1st bit of it as the song is rife with a multitude
of changes in key and time signatures. Hopefully, in the weeks and months to
come I'll have time to give you more of it as I've worked it out.

Tuning is Standard with a capo at the third fret. For ease of understanding,
I'll treat the chordings as natural chords rather than their actual names due
to the capo. (An open note would relate to the note sounded with the capo at
the third fret.)Lots of picking of the bass notes to get the "Tull" feel

REMEMBER!! CAPO at the third fret!!!

   D Am G6 D Dmaj7 G6 D Dmaj7 G6
My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT.

  D Am G6 D Dmaj7 G6 D Dmaj7 G6
I may make you feel but I can't make you think.

Your sperm's in the gutter -- your love's in the sink.

       G6 Asus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D
So you ride yourselves over the fields

        G6 Asus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D
and you make all your animal deals

         G6 Asus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D
and your wise men don't know how it feels

to be thick as a brick.

        D Am G6 D Dmaj7 G6 D Dmaj7 G6
And the sand-castle virtues are all swept away

       D Am
in the tidal destruction

    G6 D Dmaj7 G6 D Dmaj7 G6
the moral melee.

     D Am G6 D Dmaj7 G6 D Dmaj7 G6
The elastic retreat rings the close of play

       D Am
as the last wave uncovers

the newfangled way.

But your new shoes are worn at the heels

     G6 Asus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D
and your suntan does rapidly peel

         G6 Asus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D
and your wise men don't know how it feels

And the love that I feel is so far away:

                       Bm D F# G
I'm a bad dream that I just had today --

and you shake your head

Spin me down the long ages: let them sing the song.
