Beauty Queen Sister Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Indigo Girls
BEAUTY QUEEN SISTER (A. Ray)
------------------

very cool song and pretty easy to play :D
The verses are just G bar chord and this following one which i don't know the name.
i'm gonna name it G2 (0350xx) after the D chord in the bridge add a Dsus2 chord (000233)
Note: in the chorus part that goes "hang on tight now" you can replace G2 with C9 (bar chord)
which is tabbed 335533...it sounds good as well :D ENJOY!

intro: G (bar chord) G2

G
Everybody loves the beauty queen sister
G2
But she always got the broken heart
G
'Cause she work hard to keep what God gave her
G2
But the devil he's just pulling it apart

G
Hang on tight
            G2
Hang on tight now

G
Mama's got a friend name Monkeyman
G2
With a two-seater bike
And a tattoo stand
G
He's gonna take me for that ride
                              G2
He knows I've been losing ground most of my life

Hang on tight
Hang on tight now

Daddy prayed so hard
That Jesus came down and took him
Left me speaking in tongues
And hungry for something
So I fed the family, I changed out the sparks
But every day I gained, another fell apart
Hang on tight now

B7
Hey little sister, I dig it okay
                      C
Looking for the fountain of love

Where the wild heart reigns
             G
And the knife draws blood
                      D
And beauty is redeemed

B7
But Cherry and Dallas won't ever be the same
        C
Pony watched Johnny die

nothing gold can stay
                 G
And those street kids and beauty queens
                           D Dsus2
They don't stand a chance

So hang on tight...
Monkeyman says draw your picture
Give it some ink, hear the needle whisper
For all the broken hearts and the passing fancies
Pull the inside out, when you can
Hang on tight
Hang on tight now
