This is how I play this tune, it is pretty correct I think. At least it's better

If you're not a stickler for playing everything exactly as it is written, you can
add much more varioation yourself to this one, with lots of short runs and such.

Okay, the main passage has one note that changes on occation and the notes within
the () is the ones it change between, all played on the E string.
If you want to use these variations you have to listen for them. However, since
the guitar does not change, people will probably not hear if you skip the
variation and just play the 5 (A)
If you do use them, you won't get bored, and variation is good for the sound
in my opinion ;)
