The House Rules Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Christian Kane
-- This is actually my first attempt at a tab…so be gentle! =]
You will have to listen to the song to get the exact beat and timing. I also tend
to embellish a bit,
so if you do not like the E7 and A7 chords, just drop them.
-- To get the right key, you have to tune the guitar down a half step. I hope you
like this, enjoy!

Intro: G E E D E E G E E D A G E E D E E G E E D A
(the E chord is written twice to show the beat)

E
So you're tired and beat
E
And you've worked all week
E
And you need a place you can let it go.
E
Where the girls go wild
E
And the boys play hard
                                E7
And you need a little more than just the radio.
                 A D
Well here's your open invitation
            A D
With just a couple regulations.
       E
Let me warn you son, only come to have fun
                          E7
We don't take kindly to serious.
              G
So leave your troubles at the door
           A A7
Unless you want some in here.

           E G
Welcome to my house, buckle up tight
          A D A
Everybody sings and drinks, laughs & gets high.
       E G A
It's a country music, a little soul, it's a rock 'n roll rodeo.
         D E G
We don't tolerate no sitting around
            A
Everybody's dancin', groovin' and getting on down.
   C D
So before you come in here with some kind of attitude
                                 G E E D E E G E E D A (use intro beat)
You better read the house rules.

       E
Around eleven o'clock when the front door locks
E
And the boys start raising the bottle.
E
Where the girls do the thing with the Mardis Gras beads
                                              E7
Yeah, You know they're gonna show 'em if they got 'em.
   A D A A7
No matter what your story, a good time is mandatory.
     E
Well rule number 7 says don't touch the women
                                E7
But they can grab whatever they want to.

We share the same bathroom stall,

     C D
Boy, before you come a walkin' in here with any kind of attitude
                                 G E E D E E G E E (again, like the into)
You better read the house rules.
    D A G E E D E E
You better read the house rules.

-- There is more lead guitar and stuff after this and the end of the song brings
back that intro beat
and the last chords shown here. Again, hope you all enjoy this because it is a great song!
