Reckless – Australian Crawl / James Reyne

This song is played in D but James' vocal is so far out of normal reach for Aussie
blokes it's easier to play in G and then use a capo to raise the pitch until you
can't hit the high notes in pre chorus. The original would be capo 7 but capo 0 is
still high! (I would try for capo 3 or 4 if you can).

[intro] G (4 slow) G

[verse 1]
G G/F#
Meet me down by the jetty landing
F G
where the pontoons bump and spray
G G/F#
I see the others reading, standing
F C G

G G/F#
Hear the Captain blow his whistle
F G
So long she's been away
G G/F#
I miss our early morning wrestle
F C G
Not a very happy way to start the day

[Pre Chorus]
Am(2) Em F C

Am(2) Em F C
She don't like That kind of behavior So..

G(2) G/F# Em C (1) Cadd2 (1)
Throw down your guns Don't be so
G(2) G/F# Em C (1) Cadd2(1)

[verse 3]
G (4) G/F# F G
Feel like Scott of the Antarctic Base camp too far away
G G/F#
A Russian sub beneath the Arctic,
F C G
Burke and Wills and camels, initials in the tree

[Solo Chords and Tab:]

G(4) G/F# F G G G/F# F C G

[Pre Chorus]
[Chorus repeat ad lib and fade]

Chord tips for EADGBe string order:

I would play G as 320033 and then G/F# as 2x0033
C add 2 as x30010
