The Shore Ukulele
Version #1

Notes: There's some really interesting phrasing in this song vocally & musically.
The "DD" in the last verse and the finish are two quick strums on D that are held for
the remainder of the measure.
I definitely recommend practising with the record to get the vocal phrasing just right.
Also notice that at the last chorus and coda hold the A chord longer, rather than
stepping up to the B.

INTRO: |: C,,,F,,, C,,,F,,, :|

C F C F
Sometimes I go to the river
C F C F
Mmm, just to watch it flow
G F C F
  It ripples & it dances
G F C F
And I don't know where it goes

C,,, F,,,

C F C F
You brought me to the edge
C F C F
But I held you to the ground
G F C F
  I thought I knew better
G F C F
Then I let you in the water

C F
Baby it's time to take your hand and
F C F
 Leave behind what I know
C F
Baby it's time to follow you into
    F C F
The river and let go of the shore.

G F C F
Blinded by what I wanted to see

C F
Baby it's time to take your hand and
F C F

C F
Baby it's time to follow you into
    F C F
The river and let go of the shore.

DD C F
But now all I want to do
G F C
Is get down on my knees and thank you

I'm a big fan of accurate, legible, and neatly formatted charts that are
typically true to studio versions, with noted exceptions.
