The World Stops Turning Tabs

(ver. 1)
Ted Leo
Great song by TL/Rx

You guys can figure out the rythm, it's all pretty simple.

Any corrections let me know, I'm always looking for help.

Intro (Repeat chords 4x, then play the little riff)

  A Bm
--5---5-----7----------------------|
--5---5-----7----------------------|
--6---6-----7---------------9------|
--7---7-----9---------9s-11---11---|
--7---7-----9------7---------------|
--5---5-----7----------------------|

Verse

D A E D5 B5 A5 E5 B5 G5 B5
x---5-----------x----------------------------|
7---5-----------9----------------------------|
7---6-----------9----------------------------|
7---7-----------9--7--7--4--2-------4-----4--|
5---7-----------7--5--4--2--0----2--2--5--2--|
x---5---4---3--------------------0-----3-----|

On the second verse I'm pretty sure that TL plays the A in the open bar position
As he plays the G# & G notes he's following with the open A chord and letting it ring. Listen
the song and you can see what I'm saying.

Chorus

  E D E D Bm D A
--x---x----x---x-----7---10---5--|
--9---7----9---7-----7---10---5--|
--9---7----9---7-----7---11---6--|
--9---7----9---7-----9---12---7--|
--7---5----7---5-----9---12---7--|
---------------------7---10---5--|

You can play the D in the regular position on the 5th fret/5th string but it sounds like
plays this high on the neck to get the extra D on the 1st string.

Bridge (Clean)
(not sure where Ted Leo plays this bridge but this seems to flow for me better on the
string here instead of playing really high on the neck of the 6th string)

  D C#m Bm A D C#m E5 B5 G5 B5
--x---4----2---5------x---4----------------|
--7---5----3---5------7---5----------------|
--7---6----4---6------7---6----------------|
--7---6----4---7------7---6-------4-----4--|
--5---4----2---7------5---4----2--2--5--2--|
---------------5---------------0-----3-----|

Solo
(start out with a slide from the B5)
---------------------------------------------|
---------------------------------------------|
----------------9----------------------------|
----------9s-11---11---11s-9--7--9p-7--------|
--2s-7-7-------------------------------9--7--|
---------------------------------------------|

--------------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------------|
---------9h-11------------------------------|
--9s-11--------11-9--11s-9--7--9p-7---------|
--------------------------------------9--7--|
--------------------------------------------|

---------------------------------------5--|
---------------------------------------5--|
------------9-----9h-11----------------6--|
------9s-11---11--------11-9--11s-9-7--7--|
-(7)-----------------------------------7--|
---------------------------------------5--|

Then, this goes back to the intro, repeat chords twice)

  A Bm
--5---5-----7---------------------------------------|
--5---5-----7---------------------------------------|
--6---6-----7---------------------9------------9s-4-| (slide around here)
--7---7-----9----11-11-9-11-9s-11---11-11-9-11------|
--7---7-----9---------------------------------------|
--5---5-----7---------------------------------------|

Repeat this four times
--------------------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------------------|
-------7-9--9s-11--9s-11--9s11--9p-7--7h-9p-7-----|
--7h-9-----------------------------------------9--|
--------------------------------------------------|
On the last time, do the 9 to 11 slide an extra couple times. This is a delay on the
if you want to get fancy with the effects.

The song goes back to the chorus from here and there's some repeating but you can figure it out.
