VERSE
A5 G5
Don't breathe too deep, Don't think all day
A5 G5
Dive into work, Drive the other way
C#5 D5 C#5 E5
That drip of hurt, That pint of shame
C#5 D5 E5
Goes away, Just play the game

CHORUS
                 A5 F#5
You're living in America
                    E5(1) D5
At the end of the millennium
                 A5 F#5
You're living in America
                      F5 D5
Leave your conscience at the tone
                          A5 F#5
And when you're living in America
                    E5(1) D5
At the end of the millennium
   (CHORUS-RIFF1 HERE)
You're what you own

VERSE
A5 G5
The filmmaker cannot see, And the songwriter cannot hear
A5 G5
Yet I see Mimi everywhere, Angel's voice is in my ear
C#5 D5 C#5 E5
Just tighten those shoulders, Just clench your jaw til you frown
C#5 D5 E5
Just don't let go, Or you may drown

CHORUS
                 A5 F#5
You're living in America
                    E5(1) D5
At the end of the millennium
                 A5 F#5
You're living in America
                      F5 D5
Where it's like the twilight zone
                          A5 F#5
And when you're living in America
                    E5(1) D5
At the end of the millennium
   (CHORUS-RIFF1 HERE)
You're what you own

BRIDGE
D5 B5
So I own not a notion
      A5
I escape an ape content
D5 A5 E5
I don't own emotion- I rent

F#5 A5 D5
What was it about that night
F#5 A5 E5
Connection- In an isolating age
G#5 B5 C#5
For once the shadows gave way to light
G#5 C#5 D#5
For once I didn't disengage

B5 C#5
Angel- I hear you- I hear it
D#5
I see it- I see it my film!
B5 C#5
Alexi-Mark, Call me a hypocrite
  D#5
I need to finish my Own film
I quit!

CHORUS2
        A#5 G5
Dying in America
                    F5 D#5
At the end of the millennium
               A#5 G5
We're dying in America
                  F#5 D#5
To come into our own
                         A#5 G5
And when you're dying in America
                    F5 D#5
At the end of the millennium
   (CHORUS-RIFF2 HERE)
You're not alone
G#5 D#5 F5(2)
I'm not alone
G#5 D#5 F5(2)
I'm not alone

Possibly the most appalling end to a song ever but up to then it's
pretty good. Tab is perfect although the C#5 in the chorus sounds
a little dissonant but it shold be fine.
