Overcome Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Jeremy Camp
Artists Version*: Jeremy Camp
Key: A, Standard Tuning

*This is originally a Desperation Band song from what I understand, but this
would be "Jeremy Camp's Version." I actually never heard this song until
recently, getting ready for Easter. So original Credit for Words and Music
goes to Jon Egan.

Chords Used:

    D F#m E A F#m7
E|--2---2---0---0---2---|

G|--2---2---1---2---2---|
D|--0---4---2---2---2---|
A|--x---4---2---0---4---|
E|--x---2---0---0---2---|

I don't particularly tab, but the intro seemed fairly easy. I won't be
getting specific with measures and bars, these are just the fingers; listen
to the song for timing:

Jesus, awesome in power forever
                          E D A

Bridge***:
D A F#m7
We will overcome, by the blood of the Lamb
        E D A E
And the word of our testimony, everyone overcome

***repeat four times, each time getting progressively more intense. I use the
word intense, because it doesn't necessarily mean "louder". The 3rd and 4th
will probably be the same volume-wise, but strumming may alternate to a more
"downward-strums only, power chord" feel on the 4th time, as opposed to the
soft strum pattern of the 1st rotation.

Chorus ****

**** Though the version Jeremy does keeps the music going through the bridge
to the chorus, my church (and my preference) is to play this chorus with the
same effect as the 1st chorus. In other words, play that A-Chord, but only
strum it once, while letting it ring out, and come in just before "glory;"
however, keep the intensity when you come in on "glory." This has a powerful
effect as a transition, as the intensity of the bridge continues to magnify
through the chorus. In essence, you don't let the feel and emotion that goes
on through the bridge to die out in the following chorus. Besides, your
drummer will love that moment where he gets to hit a few toms just before the
rest of the band comes in.
We all know... a happy drummer, is a drummer that *might* focus and keep the
beat accurate :)

Tag (You overcame, repeated throughout the tag chords):
Same chords and rhythm as the chorus, but just once:

A - F#m - E - D - A
