VERSE:
 Gm
Well I came upon a child of God
G7 C Csus4
He was walking along the road
                  C Csus4
And I asked him, tell me where are you going?
        Gm
This he told me
Gm
Said I'm going down to Yasgur's Farm,
G7 C Csus4
Gonna join in a rock and roll band.
        C Csus4 Gm
Got to get back to the land and set my soul free.

CHORUS:
        C G
We are stardust, we are golden
        C G
We are billion year old carbon
          Bb F C G F
And we've got to get ourselves back to the gaaar aaar den

VERSE:
           Gm
Well then, can I walk beside you?
G7 C Csus4
I have come here to lose the smog,
       C Csus4 Gm
And I feel as I'm a cog in something turning.
Gm
And maybe it's the time of year,
G7 C Csus4
Yes, and maybe it's the time of man.
       C Csus4 Gm
And I don't know who I am, but life is for learning.

CHORUS:
        C G
We are stardust, we are golden
        C G
We are billion year old carbon
          Bb F C G F
And we've got to get ourselves back to the gaaar aaar den

INSTRUMENTAL SOLO over these chords: Gm C Csus4 C Csus4 Gm

CHORUS:
        C G
We are stardust, we are golden
        C G
We are billion year old carbon
          Bb F C G F
And we've got to get ourselves back to the gaaar aaar den

VERSE:
        Gm
By the time we got to Woodstock,
G7 C Csus4
We were half a million strong
      C Csus4 Gm
And everywhere was song and a celebration.
Gm
And I dreamed I saw the bombers, jet planes
G7 C Csus4
Riding shotgun in the sky,
         C Csus4
Turning into butterflies
          Gm
Above our nation.

CHORUS:
        C G
We are stardust, we are golden
          C G
We are caught in a devils bargain
          Bb F C G F
And we've got to get ourselves back to the gaaar aaar den

OUTRO: INSTRUMENTAL

Note: To me the other versions tabbed were not
playable to the album. This one is close as I
believe that the guitars in the original version
were tuned up 1/2 step... Also, I noticed when
CSN played this later in concert their intro was
nothing like the original version. As stated I
believe that it is difficult to get the original
intro as there were 3 guitars doing it instead of
just one... If someone has a better intro send it
to me and I may change the one I have posted here.
 Thanks
