Money City Maniacs Bass

(ver. 2)
Sloan
This is the RIGHT tab, it's a little tricky but it's sounds great. I'll try and make
sound as easy as possible.

/ Slide down the neck
\ Slide up the neck
If you see a \ or / without a number beside it just pick a random fret, it still sounds
same.

Keep pedaling this note until 0:42 or the moment before he starts singing:

G|----------------------------|
D|----------------------------|
A|----------------------------|
E|----7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7---------|

At that moment right before the vocals he does a neat riff:
G|------------------------------------|
D|-----/9---7---------7---------------|
A|-----------------9------------------|
E|------------------------------------|

Then he keeps pedaling the note through the vocals:
G|----------------------------|
D|----------------------------|
A|----------------------------|
E|----7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7---------|

"At the heart of the travelling band..."
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------/9---7---------7--|
A|----------5----------/7--7-7-7----------5--------------------9------|
E|----7----------5------------------7-----------5---------------------|

Then he keeps pedaling some more:
G|----------------------------|
D|----------------------------|
A|----------------------------|
E|----7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7---------|

Here's a very tricky part, there's a slight pause here and then he does this riff before
chorus, you can hear the pause too but timing must be perfect or else it screws up:
G|-------------------------|
D|-----9--7------7-8-9-----|
A|------------9------------|
E|-------------------------|

Chorus (Immedeatly after the riff above):
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------5--4----|
A|--7----------5-6-7--------------------5--7----------5-6-7--------------7-|
E|-----7-7--7---------5-5---3--2--0--7--------7-7--7----------5-5----------|

There's another pause there then he slides into the main riff (don't slide after this
here, play it normally):
G|-----------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------|
A|----------5----------/7--7-7-7-----|
E|----\7----------5------------------|

Play this 3 times and then do this riff again:
G|---------------------------------------|
D|--------------------/9--7-------7------|
A|----------5-----------------9----------|
E|----7----------5-----------------------|

Keep playing these riffs over again, use your ear to pick out the parts. Then before the
do:
G|-------------------|
D|-------------------|
A|----------5--------|
E|----7----------5---|
Then a longer pause and do the
G|-------------------------|
D|-----9--7------7-8-9-----|
A|------------9------------|
E|-------------------------| Riff again.

The chorus segues into the solo so listen carefully, and let the notes on their own ring
whole notes, you can pick it up when you listen to it:
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------5--4-----|
A|--7----------5-6-7--------------------5--7----------5-6-7-----------------|
E|-----7\-7--7---------5-5---3--2--0--7--------7-7--7----------5-5----------|

Pre-solo:
G|-------------------6---------------------|
D|--6----/7---789--------7-----6\7--6------|
A|--------------------------7----------7---|
E|-----------------------------------------|

Guitar solo:
G|-----------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------4-(play 16 times)--6-(play 14 times)--|
E|--7-(play 16 times)----------------------------------------|

In the last 2 beats in the bar he plays these sixteenith notes before going into the
again:
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----7-----7-(play play 16 times)--/9--hold note--\----|
A|--7-----7----------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------|

"Hey you..."
G|----------------------|
D|----------------------|
A|----------------------|
E|--7----7----7----7----|
These are played as quater notes and try to not let them ring.

When he gets to "All they know is the yellow line" only play on beats 2 and 4 until he
"the yellow line". After that there's a drum fill and you do the
G|-------------------------|
D|-----9--7------7-8-9-----|
A|------------9------------|
E|-------------------------| Riff again.

then you play the chorus until the end but without the high notes:
G|-----------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------|
A|--7----------5-6-7-----------------|
E|-----7-7--7---------5-5---3--2--0--|

And that's that! Try and figure it out all the parts and they should all fit in
some parts you need to listen carefully but other than that that's the whole tab.
