Real Gone Bass

(ver. 2)
Sheryl Crow
Hi Everyone,

There are a few on the internet that are very very wrong. Here is a 100% correct tab.
a fun song to play, and can be funked up when played live with octaves to make it even
fun.

Standard tuning (EADG)

Bass comes in at "I gotta say it" with this, listen for exact timings. Take note of the
it sounds bad without it.

G|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
A|12\2222222222222|2222222222222222|2222222222222222|2222222222222222|
E|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|

Chorus, "Slow Down, we're gonna crash"

G|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
A|----------------|5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|----------------|----------------|
E|7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|----------------|3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-|5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|

Main Riff/Verse, "Real Gone", take note of the mute second time round.

G|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|
A|------5-5---7-7-|-------5-5--0-0-|
E|7-7-------------|7-7-7-----------|

G|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|
A|------5-5---7-7-|-------5-5--0x--|
E|7-7-------------|7-7-7-----------|

No bass at "There's a new cat in town", come back in at "You know him so well" with
You can put a slide in here if you wish.

G|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|
A|------5-5---7-7-|-------5-5--0-0-|
E|7-7-------------|7-7-7-----------|

Chorus "Slow down, we're gonna crash".

G|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
A|----------------|5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|----------------|----------------|
E|7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|----------------|3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-|5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|

At "Everybody's looking for a way" I just mess around with octaves, be creative.

At "You can say what you want", its just bass with this riff again.

G|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|
A|------5-5---7-7-|-------5-5--0-0-|
E|7-7-------------|7-7-7-----------|

Then chorus until "Real Gone".

G|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
A|----------------|5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|----------------|----------------|
E|7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|----------------|3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-|5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|

At "Real Gone", go back to this riff.

G|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|
A|------5-5---7-7-|-------5-5--0-0-|
E|7-7-------------|7-7-7-----------|

End.

G|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|
A|0x--------------|----------------|
E|----------------|----------------|

Mute the note before "Real gone".

Enjoy!
