For those of you that have the Nine Days Cd or have heard it know that
this song is really cool. I didn't wanna be really fancy with it so i
just put the chords above the words and its easy to figure out when they
change. But anyway hope you enjoy. Its about 100% correct... but there
could be slight errors. Thanks.

forever if tomorrow’s not too late

And it’s always too late when you got nothing so you say……and you

I´m too lazy to write down the strumming pattern, so just listen to
the
record. Just strum the chords below.

  G D Cadd9 F Open strings

G D
So your standing on a ledge,
                          Cadd9
It looks like you might fall. So far down,
F G
Or maybe you were thinking about jumping.
                       D
Now you could have it all,
                          Cadd9
If you learned a little patience!
                     F
For though I cannot fly,
                      G
I'm not content to crawl!...
                      D
So give me a little credit,
                      Cadd9
Have in me a little faith!
                        F
I want to be with you forever,
                        G
If tomorrow's not too late!...
G D Cadd9
But it's always too late when you've got nothing
      G/D
So you say!... --3------3-
                --3------3-
                --0------0-

                --X------X-

 G/D D Cadd9
But you should never let the sun set on tomorrow,
                       G/D
Before the sun rises today...

 Chorus:

 G
If I am!
 D Cadd9
Another waste of everything you dreamed of,
                G/D
I will let you down...
 G
If I am!
 D Cadd9
Only here to watch as you suffer,
                G/D
I will let you down...

So your walking on the edge,
And you wait your turn to fall.
But you're so far gone,
That you don't see the hands upheld to catch you.
And you could find the fault,
In the heart that you've been handed!
But though you cannot fly,
You're not content to crawl!...

But it's always too late when you've got nothing
So you say!...
But you should never let the sun set on tomorrow,
Before the sun rises....

If I am!
Another waste of everything you hoped for,
I will let you down...
If I am!
Only here to watch you as you suffer,
I will let you down...

 Bridge:

Once again I´m to lazy to write out the strumming pattern but just use
these
chords andlisten to the record and you will get it right.

  D Dsus4 Cadd9 G/D
 -2---3---2---3---3---3-
 -3---3---3---3---3---3-
 -2---2---2---2---0---0-
 -0---0---0---0---2---2-
 -X---X---X---X---2---3-
 -X---X---X---X---X---X-

So you're standing on a ledge,
It looks like you might fall...

If I am!
Another waste of everything you dreamed of,
I will let you down...
If I am!
Only here to as watch you suffer,
I will let you down...

The answers we find,
Are never what we had in mind.
So we make it up as we go along...
I won't mention tomorrow.
And we won't make those promises that we can't keep...
I will never leave you!
I will never let you down!
I will never leave you!
I will never let you down!

That´s it! I hope this will help you out?
As always.....If you have any comments or sugestions, feel free to

Nine Days -- Absolutely (Story of a Girl)

I figured out this song a while ago, but since no one has put
a decent copy on the internet I decided to step up. This real
nice when I play along with (or without)the actual song. Some
people think its played too much...I might agree, but I never
get tired of hearing it. If you like this tab feel free to give it
to a friend. Also feel free to check out my webite
neat stuff...

G, Dsus4, A7sus4, D, Cadd9, Em7, G/F#

KEY:

Chord name: Strings:
     G (320033)
     Dsus4 (xx0233)
     A7sus4 (x02033)
     D (xx0232)
     C(9) (x32033)
     Em7 (022033)
     G/F# (220033)

Refrain:

              G
this is the story of a girl

  Dsus4
who cried a river

     A7sus4 D
and drowned the whole world

                G C(9)
and while she looked so sad in photographs

    A7sus4
I absolutely love her

            G Dsus4 C(9) G Dsus4 C(9) (this part is tough)
when she smiles...Verse:

 G C(9)
how many days in a year

     G D
she woke up with hope but she only found tears

    G C(9)
and I can be so insincere

  G D
making her promise is never for real
    G C(9)
as long as she stands there waiting

  G D
wearin the holes on the soles of her shoes

 G C(9)
how many days dissappear

          G
when you look in the mirror

          D
and say how do you choosePre-Chorus:

       Em G/F#
your clothes never wear as well the next day

          G A7sus4
and your hair never falls in quite the same way

    Em G/F# A7sus4
but you never seem to run out of things to say

(Refrain x 1)
(Verse x 1)
(Pre-Chorus x 1)
(Refrain x 1)
(Pre-Chorus x 1) (this leads into the guitar solo)

Guitar Solo

the way this is played in the song makes it nearly
impossible to tab perfectly so a few notes may be
missing, but this is very close. This is also a great
solo to improvise on -- be creative!!

(P.S.-- I didn't figure out the lead into the solo, the tab
below is only after the band pauses)

b

(This is where it gets really high and fast on the e string)

e 15-15-15-12-12-10-10-10/12-12/10\15-15-15-15-15-15-15-15-12-10

b 11/8-8-8-8-8-10-8--8-8-8-
g 7--9--9 (slide down to about 2 while pickin
several times)

d
a
E

(Pre-Chorus x 1)
(Refrain x 3) (leave out "G, Dsus4, C(9)" set and combine the 3
refrains)

End Riff:

The end riff is the set of chords that you didn't play during the last
string
of refrain riffs

G, Dsus4, C(9), G, Dsus4, C(9), G, Dsus4, C(9), G...fade out

(Whenever this riff is played during the song the band switches between
the chords quickly and doesn't play each one the same number of times.
Listen to the song and you'll get a feel for it).

Hope you can follow all this. Practice and before you know it you'll
be
impressing your friends with those mad guitar skills. And don't forget
See ya later.
