Mr Bojangles Chords

(ver. 1)
Neil Diamond
Mr. Bojangles (partial lyrics)

I know the song, but can't remember all the lyrics, so
another post there would be helpful. I'll just include
the first verse so you know where the changes are.

This is easy to play, and you can make it sound good by
adding little walks up and down on the bass notes. This
is one of the first songs I started using bass notes on
when I taught myself to play, so I'm going spell out how to do
it for any beginners.

I am using C* and G* to denote changes in bass notes.
The progression for each is as follows:

C* - C bass note, strum C a couple times,
B bass note, strum C a couple times,
A bass note, strum C a couple times,
G bass note, A bass note, B bass note. (no
strumming when you walk back up)

G* - Strum G a couple of times,
G bass note, A bass note, B bass note.
(note: next chord will be C or Am, with a C bass note,
so it fits the progression.) Mr. Bojangles by ...?
      -----------------

Intro: C* a couple of times.

 C*
I knew a man, Bojangles, and he danced for you,

F G*
In worn out shoes,

C*
Silver, a ragged shirt and baggy pants,

F G*
The old soft shoe,

F C E7 Am
He jumped so high, jumped so high...

D7 Dm7 G7
And then he lightly touched down.

Am G* Am G* Am G* C*
Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles, dance..... I use standard chords:

       C F or F (barre) D7
