TENDER LOVE – Derek & the Dominos

‘Tender Love’ is an incomplete master recorded on 27 August 1970 during sessions
for the ‘Layla’ album. It was not included on the original album as it clearly
lacks vocal and guitar overdubs. However, it is a cool track and it is interesting
to speculate what the Dominos might have done in order to complete the song,
perhaps for inclusion on their second studio album. It appears on the ‘Alternate
Jams and Outtakes’ disc of the ’20th Anniversary Layla Sessions’ box set.
