Cant Let Go Chords

(ver. 1)
Williams Lucinda
Can’t Let Go
By Randy Weeks
As performed by Lucinda Williams
“Car Wheels On A Gravel Road” (1998)

This is a fun little song, espacially if you have access to a resonator guitar.
I didn't write out the tabs, because once you have the chords it is pretty easy
to fill in the little riffs, if you are playing the chords barred (see chord notes at bottom)
The song also benefits if you play around with bending the little riff notes,
doing some palm muting, etc. Also lots of fun if you have a second gutar tuned in open G
and doing some slide. Have fun. - Timothy Tibbitts

Chordage:

G String: E A D G B E
	 Fret: 3 5 5 4 3 3
(Standard barred G chord)

G7 E A D G B E
	3 X 5 4 6 3
(Use pinky to fret the B string, to quickly walk between this and the barred G)

C7(#1) E A D G B E
	X 3 5 5 5 6
(“A” chord barred on 3rd fret)

C7(#2) E A D G B E
	 X 3 2 3 1 0

D(#1) E A D G B E
	    X 5 7 7 7 X
(“A” chord barred on 5th fret)

D(#2) Standard D chord,
but don’t play top E string

For variety, in repetitions of the “Well its over…” line, you can switch around the different versions of D and C7 chords, and also play them as an “E” chord barred on the 10th and 8th frets, respectively.
