The Time Is Now Chords

(ver. 1)
Warren Barfield
Am
I cut my teeth, on the back of an old church pew

I learned to walk in the ways of light and truth
          D Am G
And I was told not to speak til I was spoken to
Am
I heard it preached, what I should and I should not do
And the choir sang

C Dm Am C Dm Am
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Am
I tried to be a good boy but I ain't a boy no more

I've seen somethings that a man just can't ignore
  D Dm Am F G
And this world's gone see what I am standing for
Am A D G
I've kept my peace, I can't hold my tongue anymore

=Chorus=

          Am C
You can't buy my silence, you can't steal my voice
          D Am E G
You can't keep me quiet, I will bring the noise
       Am C
Try to beat me down, tell me to shut my mouth
              Dm F
But there's a time to speak and the time is now
Am
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Am Dm Am
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh

    A Am
The squeaky wheel is always getting greased

Well, I've been sitting still

Park here on the side of the street
E D Am F G D C
Always tip-toeing trying not to wake the beast
              Am
Oh but here I come
                            G
All you monsters had better run from me

(Chorus 3X)

You can't buy my silence, you can't steal my voice
You can't keep me quiet, I will bring the noise
Try to beat me down, tell me to shut my mouth
But there's a time to speak and the time is now

You can't buy my silence, you can't steal my voice
You can't keep me quiet, I will bring the noise
Try to beat me down, tell me to shut my mouth
But there's a time to speak and the time is now
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Woh oh oh oh oh oh oh

This is my first time putting chords to a song... only because this song is truthful and
my absolute favorite.
I waited a week to wait for someone else, but I couldn't wait any longer lol.
Listen to the song for timing and the strumming pattern. God Bless!
