Notes
------

Some of the techniques used in this solo might not be familiar to most
country players...
A 'tapped' note is played by pressing the note (like a hammer-on) with
a finger from your picking hand. I use my middle finger to tap, as I
hold my pick with thumb and index finger.
To play the part using the tapped note, you bend the string as
indicated, then 'tap' the note on the B string, 9th fret, just the same
as hammering on. Slide it up to around the 18th fret and then pull it
off. Make sure that you hold the bend, so that you can release just
after the pull-off. This is a very easy technique to do, with a bit of
practice, and is used a lot in 80's metal.

The other technique you may not be familiar with is a pinched harmonic.
To play these, you grip your pick tightly with thumb and index finger,
and just let the flesh on the side of your thumb touch the string as
you pick it. If you are in the right place (usually somewhere over the
pickups), you'll get a harmonic note. It doesn't have to be perfectly
clean, just a harmonic overtone will usually sound good enough.

these or any other techniques! Don't be afraid to ask if it's the only
way to learn!
