Dials Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Tommy Reilly
You can figure out the strumming pattern from this video:

(If you want the slightly more advanced way of playing it then look at the bottom
of the page..)

Intro

e|--0--0--0--2--|
B|--0--0--0--3--|
D|--2--1--0--2--|
G|--2--2--4--0--|
A|--0--2--4--0--|
E|--0--0--2--0--|

I'll call the first one A, the 2nd E, the 3rd F#m and the 4th D.

          A E
Twist the dials, see I didn't know this could go this loud
          F#m D
I roll my window down and let the air go round
                     A
Nothing happened really
       E
No not much at all
             F#m D
But for some reason I, I feel quite tall

                 A
We only sat on a couch
             E
Pretty close to be fair
            F#m D
Yeah we did kiss a bit but it ended there
                     A E
           F#m D
I take the clarity and leave it out

D E F#m D
I hope this was the start
                  A
But maybe there's more
                 F#m
Would it mark the start
D E F#m D
Please say I haven't taken too long, have I?
           A
To sort my head out
            F#m D
To mark the start of this night

A E F#m D

D E F#m D
I hope this was the start
                  A
But maybe there's more
                 F#m
Would it mark the start
D E F#m D
Please say I haven't taken too long, have I?
           A
To sort my head out
            F#m D
To mark the start of this night

A E F#m D

A E
We're pretty close to be fair
             F#m D
But for some reason I, I feel quite tall
                 A
We only sat on a couch
             E
Pretty close to be fair
                   F#m D
Yeah we did kiss a bit but it ended there

I've covered the basic chords here.. if you want to go for the slightly more
advanced way of playing it (which does sound better and it's closer to the way
tommy plays it) then try these chords:

Intro / Verse
(in the intro the first set (3 chords) listed below is the equivalent to playing
A, E and F#m in the basic chords and then the second set listed (7 chords) is
played instead of the D chord).

If you can't play the 2nd set fast enough then you could just play the
0/9/11/11/0/0 and it would sound OK.

e|--0---0---0--| e|--0---0--0---0---0---0--0---|
B|--0---0---0--| B|--0---0--0---0---0---0--0---|
D|--0---0---0--| D|--11--8--10--11--10--8--10--|
G|--11--11--8--| G|--11--8--10--11--10--8--10--|
A|--11--11--8--| A|--9---6--8---9---8---6--8---|
E|--9---8---6--| E|--0---0--0---0---0---0--0---|

Chorus
(I hope this was the start...)

e|--0---0---0--| e|--0---0---0---|
B|--0---0---0--| B|--0---0---0---|
D|--11--0---0--| D|--11--0---0---|
G|--11--11--8--| G|--11--11--8---|
A|--9---11--8--| A|--9---11--8---|
E|--0---8---6--| E|--0---9---6---|

(If you're having a go at this version I'm sure you can figure out when to play
the chords for the rest of the song!)

Thanks, hope you enjoyed this tab :).
