The Test Chords

(ver. 2)
The Academy Is
This is my first tab, I tabbed it from the video of Michael Guy Chislett and William
doing an acoustic version. This video can be found on fbrplus.com. I do not own this
in any way, and these chords are simply my enterpretation of the song. Also, I know I
some of the chord names wrong, sorry about that.

Hope it helps.

Verse 1:

Palm mute, slightly accentuate 2&4

              G Cadd9
Look like a lush, Talk like a tease,

Em7 D/F# Cadd9
The way you like it.

                  G Cadd9
In front of your house, alone on the street,

    Em7 D/F# Cadd9
you ask me to come in-side.

No Palm Mute
Cadd9 (one strum) (See First Filler)
Asleep through all our classes,
Cadd9 (one strum)
you hang me out to dry.

Chorus Chords: (no palm-mute)
              G Cadd9
If this is a test, I’m losing my sh*t
                      Em7 D/F# Cadd9
Would it kill you to care as much as I did,
              G Cadd9
If this is a test, I’m wasting my breath
           Em7 D/F# Cadd9
You’re a stranger I know well, and not at all.

(While playing intro you can sing the do do do do do part that william sings)

Verse 1 Chords
Heart on a hook,
thrown out to the sea,
your basement busy.
Sitting in the dark,
I turn the radio off for a
phone call you’ll likely miss.
Wake me when it’s over.
The last sound of goodbye.

Chorus:
If this is a test, I’m losing my sh*t
Would it kill you to care as much as I did?
If this is a test, I’m wasting my breath
You’re a stranger I know well, and not at all.

Intro again

First filler twice (in between each filler, chislett taps his guitar three times on the
then plays again.)

Bridge:

          Em7 D/F# Cadd9 Em7 D/F# Cadd9
"Let’s imagine the end before we even begin," you said.
"Let's imagine the end before we even begin," you said. (you said, you said)

Chorus:
If this is a test, I’m losing my sh*t
Would it kill you to care, as much as I did
If this is a test, I’m wasting my breath
You’re a stranger I know well, and not at all.

If this is a test, I'm losing my sh*t
Would it kill you to care, as much as i did
