			     Kid Charlemagne - Steely Dan
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tuning: Standard tuning ( EADG )

This song is pretty tough, but pay attention to the timing
and itll work out. There are some variations but this will
get you in the right direction. Good Luck. Any questions/
comments/hate mail/love mail/corrections please feel free

Verse ( 1st half )
G|--------------------------------------------------------3/12---------------|
D|--------------------5-5----5--33----------------------3--------------------|
A|-------------------5----55--------3-0-23-123-1-1--535----------------------|
E|--(0)(3) 5 55 5 33 --------------------------------------------------------|

Verse ( 2nd half )
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------5-5---5-3-3------------------------5-------2-------------|
A|-----------------5---5-5------3-0-23-123-1-1---5-3-5---5-3-----------------|
E|----55-55-5--33--------------------------------------------0---------------|

Pre-Chorus
G|--------------------------------------------2-----------5-3---3-3---3h5h3--|
D|----33---3--55---5--77---7--55----5---5-3-2---3-2-0---------5-----5-------5|
A|------33------55------77-------5----5----------------3---------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
The end is kind of a slap/pluck deal. Really easy to pick out.

G|---5-3---3h5h3-------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------5-------5-----------------------------------------------------------|
A|-3-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------------3333-(0-3-5) into verse-----------------------------------|

Chorus *
G|---------7--------9-----------------------*--------------------------------|
D|-------7--------9------------------55-5---*--------------------------------|
A|--55-5-----77-7-----x3----8-8-8-----------*-----0-1-3-3-1h3----------------|
E|------------------------------------------*---3------------0000(x2--)-0 3 5|
                                                                 ( back into verse)
The end there can be changed out with the slap part at the end of the pre chorus
And is used that way towards the end of the song.

  First guitar solo
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-2-2------------------------------------5-5--3-3-3---3-22------------------|
A|-----0-2-2-4-5-5-0-3----2-2-----------5------------3-------3—5-2-----------|
E|---------------- -----------0-2-2-4-5--------------------------------------|

G|-----------------------5-----5---------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------3/5-5-5---5-5----3-3-----3/7~-------------------------------|
E|-0-0-2-3-2-0------------------------3-3------------------------------------|

Then its back to the verse ( 2n half ) then pre chorus again

2nd guitar solo ( end of song )
G|--------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-3-3-2---3------23--33-3-3-2-2--------3-5---23----------------|
A|-------5-----33-------3-3-----------5-----3-------------------|
E|-----------3--------------------0-0---------------------------|
That repeats the end of the song

The structure is pretty easy to figure out. Just blast the bass
on your stereo and jam to it. Some of the stuff is very hard to
pick out, but if you follow along, I tried to put as much detail
as I could. Please rate ( good or bad )
