House Ukulele

(ver. 1)
State Lines
Here's House, my personal favorite off the album. The album's tuning is a little weird
but half step down is close enough and sounds good if you play it by yourself. Look
below, I wrote it all out in tab too.

INTRO: (lead below)
C F F x4

VERSE:
C F F
7 o'clock and I'm 7 deep.
C F F
Trying to shake off some chick who made my knees weak.
C F F
I plan on waking in a pile of puke
C F F

C F F x4

CHORUS:
F C F F C F
I think I found bravery, he was dressed in wood and strings.
F C F F C F
I embraced him as a friend and have been laughing at danger ever since.
F C F F C F
If this is growing up, I've been a child far too long
F C F
cause I am poised to take on the world
          F C F
with this bottle of Jack on your front lawn.
    F Fm
But I'm not telling you,

VERSE 2: (see below)
                             C F F
Cause I don't want to be the bearer of bad news,
          C F F
Cause I'd rather not upset you.
              C F F
You said that everybody runs,
     C F F
well you were the one I ran to.
           Dm F
But you're not here anymore, case and point:

BRIDGE:
        Am F C F
That is why I'm passed out on this bathroom floor.
        Am F C F
I guess everyone was right when they said I had a little more
Am F C F
than I should've in the first place, let's talk about your face
Am F C F
and how I won't never ever see it again,
Am F C
don't f**king show your face again.

C F F x4

VERSE:
C F F C F F
You said the only place that you felt safe was in your humble home.
C F F C F F
Well darling, I couldn't find the key so I threw a cello through your window.
C F F
You're not safe in your house now.
C F F
You're not safe in your house anymore.
C F F
You're not safe in your house now.
C F F
You're not safe in your house anymore.
