After 2nd chorus bass stops, then when Lee sings "...we kissed, time slipped..."
begins droning the distorted open A.
Then when the drums comes back in, return to main riff w/ distortion.
Repeat it until 3:06, end on a C note and let it ring until 3:26.
Here the bassline ends, and the song turns into hard distorted feedback, that 
dissolves into the outro, where there is no bass.
