Ooh Child Ukulele

(ver. 1)
Richie Havens
OOH CHILD

This is the first song on Richie's album Mixed Bag 2, which was originally
released in 1974. At the time of writing (December 2010) it has just been re-
released after being unavailable for many years. Despite being of a different
generation my son had always liked this song when he listened to my old vinyl copy
(now sadly lost but replaced with a new cd) and this prompted me to attempt my own
version in Open D tuning. I have used Richie's chord fingerings and this is what I
have come up with so far. It is still a work in progress but is satisfying to play
and sing. Any improvements would be welcomed.

Tuning  D       A       D       F#      A       D

I =     Index finger
M =     Middle finger
T =     Thumb
L =     Little finger
