This song is pretty easy to play but if you happen to notice, the beat of the verse is 
odd.
While most of the song is in 3/4 time, the first measure of the verse line is in 4/4 
 Which is
why, at the beginning of the song, you rest for 13 beats instead of 12 and why you play 
C for 8
eighth notes and the A, E and F all only 6 each.  I hope that's not too confusing for everyone.
