This part repeats pretty much throughout the entire song

where the guitar eventually fades out, its hard to hear whats happaning properly
over all the noise though.

This last note in the third bar above (1 : D*) rings into the following bar but gets
quiet rather quickly so that the note can't be heard by the end of the bar. You
can do this by palm muting the note gently at first and applying more pressure.
If you listen closely, you'll see what i mean.
