Rio Funk Bass

(ver. 1)
Lee Ritenour

hey, this is a pretty funky jazz fusion song. This is a pretty easy song to start
your slapping technique. first tab by the way.

intro
G---------------3h5-3-5-3-------3--------------|
D--------3-5-3------------3-5-3--5-------------|
A----------------------------------------------|
E--143-----------------------------------------|

G-------------3h5-3-5/75-3---------------------|
D-------3-5-3---------------3------------------|
A----------------------------------------------|
E-1-1-3----------------------------------------|

G---------------------3h5-3-5-3-------3-------|
D---2-----3----3-5-3------------3-5-3--5------|
A---------------------------------------------|
E-0---0-1---3---------------------------------|

you pretty much just repeat that for the intro. for the first 2 slap on your E and D
but pop on your G string. for the third one just do the sameexecpt for the first part,
slap your E string and pop on your D string, then after that it goes back to that same
first riff just slapp the D and E and pop the G.

verse
G-------------5-------------------------------|
D---5-----------------------------------------|
A------1-2-3----------------------------------|
E-3-------------0-1-3-------------------------|

thast teh basic riff, i liek to do simple changes like pop the G string many times and
out other notes.

chorus (the no slapping part)
G---------------------------------------------|
D--------4--------4---------------------------|
A--2--5-----2--5------------2--------2--------|
E---------------------0--2-----0--2-----------|
