      D G D
There was that black-faced ram,
                       A
Used to roam Grandpa's Place
       D G D
It was His pasture, and His dam
                    A D
His hard head,it kept me in my place

But I needed to cut thru that pasture
To get to my favorite fishing spot
So I'd wait till he was far enuf from the fence
And dash to the creek, I did this a lot
  D G
Now that ram and me
               D
We didn't get along
                               A D
Once he butted me, knocked me to my knees
                               A D
Since then, I had made him sing my song

He'd hide behind the big white oak tree
Waiting for me to once again, test my fate
In a while, he'd forget about me
I'd run and barely beat him to the gate.

By and by, he got used to me
And I could walk to my fishing spot
But it was still his pasture
And I still haven't forgot
tag: And I still haven't forgot
