Beautiful song, I just heard it off her iTunes Session.
I wish I'd discovered it earlier, but oh well.

I know this isn't toally correct, but it works well enough. Please post any corrections :)

**EDIT: I orginally had Cadd9 in the chorus instead of Am, I was trying to see what she
playing from the live video...It could have been an Am, it looks more like that than
but I couldn't tell for sure because the video is blurry and from far away. Post any new ideas :P

Also, here's my cover so you know what it sounds like :D

NO CAPO for the iTunes Session version, CAPO 1 for the old live version.

Em7 - 022033

G Em7
Wait and see, you’ll believe, when he’s here next to me
              D
That’s what I told them
G
You were my way of trying to prove
    Em7 D
The power of transforming
G
You’re outta line, colorblind to the light
         Em7 D
But this time it will be different
G
And I just knew, you’d come through like a flower
     Em7 D
That needs a little nutrition, whoa

Am C
But caring ain’t enough
D
No matter what you do
Am C D
It’s tearing my heart out, cause, whoa

C G
I couldn’t save you
Am D
And I didn’t want to
C G
'Cause I won’t embrace you
   Am D
To fabricate you
C G
You’ve got your mind set
Am Bm
Don’t compromise it
C G Am D
I’ll wait for the one who won’t make me sigh and say
           G Em7 D
I couldn’t save you

G Em7
Playing hard, empty bar, in a faraway city
        D
I don’t know, well
G
I don’t know where you are
                   Em7 D
But I’m singing to you tonight, is that all right?
G
Well you’re a piece of the past
                 Em7 D
And I can’t keep elaborating on us
G Em7
And I would kill to forget what it is about you
         D
That I, I need so much, oh, well

Am C
I gotta remember
D
No matter what you do
Am C D
You’re just a pretender, oh, well

C G
I couldn’t save you
Am D
And I didn’t want to
C G
'Cause I won’t embrace you
   Am D
To fabricate you
C G
You’ve got your mind set
Am Bm
Don’t compromise it
C G Am D
I’ll wait for the one who won’t make me sigh and say
           G Em7 D
I couldn’t save you

C D C
There’s so many things I should’ve said to you
                 D Am
I’ll let you off easy cause I already knew
            D C
Somebody as stubborn as yourself won’t change
        Cm
Even if that means suffering
G Em7
Yeah

C G
I couldn’t save you
