Soldier Ukulele

(ver. 2)
Goo Goo Dolls
Wow, a hit from Goo Goo dolls in standard tuning?! And GCD too? Chris got the idea
but a few of his chords were off so I changed them. Bridge seems good though.

I play Dsus4 using my thumb and like this

e--3--
B--3--
G--0--
D--0--
A--0--
E--2--

You can also mess with some of the other chords, like the C you can play 032000 during
the verse or the intro.

Capo 3 (all chords relative to capo position)

Intro: Em G C x2

Verse:

     Em G C
When you came back I knew you'd have a story
     Em G C
You need someone to ease the pain of living life
Em G C
You're like a soldier in the fray seeking shelter
Em G C

Chorus:

C D G
I know things change, your world has slipped away
C D Em
I know things change, you're living like a
C D G
Soldier caught in the fray
       Dsus4 Em
Don't lose your faith
             C D Em
It's not so cold, it's not too late

Em G C x2

Verse:

     Em G C
When you were naive you were so invincible
                   Em G C
And you laughed at anyone and anything that ever got in your way
Em G C
But now the mirror shows the change, and you don't see that
Em G C
You're sinking back into the crowd, an echo faded

Chorus

Bridge:

F#m D
And I never thought I'd see
                     Bm
You living on your knees
                   Abdim
A slave to some disease

That holds you captive
F#m D
And you can look inside of me
                          Bm
But the answers that you seek
                    Abdim
And everything you need

Is all inside you

Interlude: Em G C x4

Chorus
