You Are My Sunshine Tabs

(ver. 1)
Frank Turner

Tuning: Standard
Capo: 2nd Fret

thought it was a travesty that no one had posted a tab for franks version of this yet,
i thought id figure it out myself. as its so beautiful.

i know theres more than one guitar part going, but ive only figured out the main rhythm
one so far. my bad.

its finger picked throughout, but strumming it sounds just peachy also.

the picking pattern for each chord throughout remains the same (ish - youll figure it out).

so when you see a D you do this:
(he only does the hammer every now and then throughout the song)
   D
e|---2-------2-------2-------2-----0h2------2-------2-------2------|
B|-------3-------3-------3-------3------3-------3-------3-------3--|
G|-----2-------2-------2-------2------2-------2-------2-------2----|
D|-0-------0-------0-------0-------0------0-------0-------0--------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------------|

when you see a G you do this:
   G
e|---3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-----|
B|-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-|
G|-----0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0---|
D|---------0-------0-------0---------------0-------0-------0-------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-3-------------------------------3-------------------------------|

when you see an A you do this:
   A
e|---0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-----|
B|-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-|
G|-----2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2---|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------------|

when you see a Bm you do this:
(sometimes the second way, depending on the part of the song)
   Bm <---------------------------------|
e|---2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------2-------|
B|-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3-------3---|
G|-----4-------4-------4-------4-------4-------4-------4-------4-----|
D|-----------------------------------------4---------------4---------|
A|-2-------2-------2-------2-------2---------------2-----------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

D
You are my sunshine, My only sunshine
            G D
You make me happy, When skies are gray
            G D
Youll never know dear, How much i love you
                  A D
Please dont take, My sunshine away.

D
The other night dear, As i lay sleeping
           G D
I dreamt i held you, In my arms
       G D
When i awoke dear, I was mistaken
              A D
And i hung my head, and cried.

D
Ill always love you, And make you happy
             G D
If you would only, Say the same
           G Bm
But if you leave me, To love another
D A D
Youll regret it all, Someday

D
You told me once dear, You really loved me
           G D
And no one else could, Come between
               G Bm
But now youve left me, And love another
         D A Bm G
You have shattered all my dreams

D A Bm G
You are my sunshine, My only sunshine
            D A Bm G
You make me happy, When skies are gray
            D A Bm G
Youll never know dear, How much i love you
        D A D
Please dont take, my sunshine away

gradually drop the tempo on the final D and then end on the hammer on.
