I Will Find A Way Chords

(ver. 1)
Evan Wickham
[Picking Pattern]
This is the beginning of the verse as an example, to show most of the chords.
Timing guide line: 1 - beat, x - 16th notes (not muted, just needed a letter :) )
See below the tab: t - thumb, f - first finger, m - middle finger.
Take care to use the thumb to alternate between low strings.
The pattern is a stripped down version of a very common folk picking
where the thumb would constantly alternate on the beats 1 2 3 4.
Here the thumb is playing 1 2 (rest) 4, so that might be confusing at first.
I advise using the thumb, because playing with other fingers would loose the groove and drive.

[Intro]
Bm7

[Verse 1]
       Bm7 Dsus2 G5 Gmaj7/B
At the end of this rundown Tennement Hall
       G5 Asus4 Dadd9 D
Is the room of a girl I know
    Em7 Gmaj7/B G6 Gmaj7/B
Who cowers behind all the dead bolt locks
 G5 Asus4 Dadd9 D
Afraid of the outside world

[Chorus 1]
   Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
So how should I come to the one I love
Em7* A Gmaj7/B Dsus2 G5 Bm7 Gadd9 A
  I will find a way

[Verse 2]
     Bm7 Dsus2 G5 Gmaj7/B
Many thieves and collectors have used that door
    G5 Asus4 D
But they've only brought her shame
        Em7* Gmaj7/B G5 Bm7
Now she won't even open it anymore
      G A G6/D D
Still I will find a way
        Bm7 Dsus2 G5 Gmaj7/B
I could call out her name with love through the walls
    G5 A D
But condemnation's all she hears
        Em7 Gmaj7/B G5 Gmaj7/B
I could break down the door, take her into my arms
    G A Dsus4 D
But she might die from the fear

[Chorus 2]
   Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
So how should I come to the one I love
Em7 D Dsus2/C#
I will find a way, I will find a way
   Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
So how should I come to the one I love
Em7* A Gmaj7 Dadd2/F# Em7* D A
  I will find a way

[Bridge]
   F#m Gadd9
No hiding place ever kept her safe
       Em7 Bm7 Asus4 A
So she hides inside herself
      F#m Gadd9
So to reach her heart the only way
      Em7 Bm7 A
Is to hide in there as well
          G5 Asus4 Gmaj7/B Dsus2 Gadd9 Bm7 G5 Asus4 G6/D D
So I will hide in there as well

[Verse 3]
         G6/D D
Well she gave up on love, waiting for a change
Gmaj7/B Asus4 Dsus2 D
But a change is coming soon
      Em7 Gmaj7/B G5 Gmaj7/B
Cause how could she not love the helpless babe
        G6 Asus4 Dadd9 D
That is waking in her womb

[Chorus 3]
Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
  I found a way
Em7 D Asus4 A
  I found a way
         Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
She will know I am coming for I am here
     Em7 D A
When she hangs her head she'll see me there
    Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
And then when I've come she will not turn away
        Em7 D A
All the beauty and joy will return to her face
    Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
And what of that loneliness now it is gone
Em7 D A
Lost in the bond of a mother and son
      Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
Every sin that she suffered at the hands of men
      Em7 D A
Every single disgrace will be washed clean again
       G5 A
I will love her completely, and when I'm grown
       Gmaj7/B Dadd9
I will carry her out of that Tennement room
    Gmaj7 Dadd2/F#
I'm doing a new thing, soon you will see
    Em7 D A
I'm coming among you and My name shall be
