'Summertime Blues' By Eddie Cochran

This is a very simple song to play and easily recognised.
I understand that the classic version was recorded
using a Gretsch Chet Atkins electric for the 'lead'
and a Martin D-18 (acoustic dreadnought) for the
'scratch' rhythm. And I don't mean the Who's cover of
it.

Notes:
	h  = hammer on
	, = 1/4 beat rest
	- = No accompaniment

	Chord shapes:

	F Bb C

	1 1 3
	1 3 5
	2 3 5
	3 3 5
	3 1 3
	1 x x

A
	(Riff 1) (X2)
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
--0-h1--1--1--1---0-h1--1--1--1--

These are tied half notes (quavers)

B

Chord sequence	(Chords)
F F F Bb , , , C C C Bb

Where played twice there is an additional 1 bar rest
at the end of the first sequence before repeating it.

C
	(Riff 2) (X2)
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
--0-h1--1--1--1---0-h1--1--1--1--
---------------------------------

These are also tied half notes (quavers)

Final note:

Where there are brackets, you should ignore the parts
inside them if playing solo. In the original there are
two guitars, and at these points the two overlap.
