Stolen Chords

(ver. 1)
Civil Twilight
Doesn't exactly match the song, but it plays through with it pretty well. You can
pretty much pick whatever strumming pattern you like, and I like to increase the
tempo a little, but hey, to each his own.

TUNING: STANDARD
CAPO: 3 is the best match with the original song, but especially for girls I also
suggest no capo because it gets quite high.

INTRO: Em, G

VERSE 1:
Em G
I met love, on the gravel road,
While I was, walking alone.
She was so, gentle and sweet.
Kissed my hands, kissed my feet.

VERSE 2:
Em G
She poured me, a glass of sweet red wine
To numb my feet, and ease my mind.
I fell a-sleep in her arms;
When I awoke, she was gone.

CHORUS:
  D G Em
I didn't even notice that something was wrong
  D G Am C
I didn't even notice that my heart had been
Em D Em
Stolen.

VERSE 3:
Em G
Who is this, thief in the night?
Steals my strength, robs my might?
She left me, a blind wanderer,
With no words to speak or ponder.

CHORUS:
  D G Em
I didn't even notice that something was wrong
  D G Am C
I didn't even notice that my heart had been
Em D Em
Stolen.

BRIDGE:
G C
I will search the land and sea to
D Am
Find this girl who stole from me
    D C
And when I do I'll tell her she
    G Am D
Can keep that old heart of mine.

CHORUS:
D G Em
I didn't even notice anything was wrong
  D G Am C
I didn't even notice that my heart had been
Em D Em
Stolen.
