Louder Than Ever Tabs

(ver. 1)
Chris Daughtry
Hey i was bored and i was looking for daughtry songs on their new album and couldnt find
one for this and played a few random notes on my guitar and this happened. So yeah. I'm
15 years old and this is what i came up with. I dont know why im playing this music all
of a sudden. Im usually a metalhead but my girlfriend just broke up with me and that
toned it down a little for me. I wish i had her back.
Tuning: standard 1/2 step down
Im just gonna write the regular string names cuz im lazy but tune all the strings a half
step down

Intro Let it ring for a while (distortion, its kinda obvious)
e|-0-----------|
B|-0-----------|
G|-1-----------|
D|-2-----------|
A|-2-----------|
E|-0------\\\12| (slide up to first position)

In case the picking pattern isnt obvious, its muted followed by opened. I play the mute
going down and the open coming up with the pick. it sounds good. just repeat the chord
until you hear the change in the song. its kinda obvious once again. I think theres like
a total of 6 opens per chord time

Verse
e|-------------------|
B|-------------------|
G|-2--4--6--2--4--6--|
D|-2--4--6--2--4--6--|
A|-0--2--4--0--2--4--|
E|-------------------|

PreChorus
Starts at about "Those dashboard..."
Hold the chords. The last two change pretty quick, hold the E for a while
e|-0--------------|
B|-0--------------|
G|-1----2----4----|
D|-2----2----4----|
A|-2----0----2----|
E|-0--------------|

Chorus
Just strum up and down open til you hear the chord change. its obvious again
e|-0---------------|
B|-0---------------|
G|-1---4---6---2---|
D|-2---4---6---2---|Repeat
A|-2---2---4---0---|
E|-0---------------|

Play verse, prechorus, and chorus again

Bridge
Strum until you hear change
e|-----------------|
B|-----------------|
G|-5---7---5---4---|
D|-5---7---5---4---|
A|-3---5---3---2---|
E|-----------------|

Play with same pick pattern as verse
e|----------------------|
B|-------------6--------|
G|-2---4---6---6--------|
D|-2---4---6---6(Hold)--|
A|-0---2---4---4--------|
E|----------------------|

Play chorus a few times
End on an E chord and let ring and die out
Please rate. Hey Jeannette if you ever see this, i want you to know i want you back as
my girlfriend.

Heres the lyrics to the song if youre interested

Heard that song on the radio,
And it got my gears turnin'
Like a real life time machine.

You were there in the front seat,
Windows down we were burning,
It was just like a movie scene,
Those dashboard lights,
And your pale blue eyes cutting through me.

Two hearts on the getaway,
Feels just like yesterday,
Young love on the freeway,
Singing louder than ever.

Those nights we used to sing along,
We were living in a love song,
Those days might be gone,
But I hear it louder than ever.

We spent that whole summer long,
You and me and the moonlight,
Chasing dreams in a fast machine,

No way that it could go wrong,
When it all felt so right,
Feeling like California queen,
I cannot forget all of the ways that you loved me.

Two hearts on the getaway,
Feels just like yesterday,
Young love on the freeway,
Singing louder than ever.

Those nights we used to sing along,
We were living in a love song,
Those days might be gone,
But I hear it louder than ever.

I can't help but turn it up,
No it can't get loud enough,
Yeah, I just wanna hear it,
Over and over,
Over and over,

Heard that song on the radio,
And it got my gears turnin'
Like a real life time machine.

Two hearts on the getaway,
Feels just like yesterday,
Young love on the freeway,
Singing louder than ever.

Those nights we used to sing along,
We were living in a love song,
Those days might be gone,
But I hear it louder than ever.

Two hearts on the getaway,
Feels just like yesterday,
Young love on the freeway,
I hear it louder than ever.

Those nights we used to sing along,
We were living in a love song,
Those days might be gone,
But I hear it louder than ever.
