Tuning: (low to high) E A D# G# B e

The alternate tuning is to assist with the fingering only. In standard 
tuning,the notes on the 3rd and 4th strings will be shifted up a half-step. 
Or - if your 4th string can handle it - you may even tune the "D#" up another 
half-step to an "E", allowing you to play one more open string.
